Our Story
Northern Ireland Malayali Association (NIMA) was founded in 2024 by a group of dedicated community members who shared a common vision of creating a strong and united Malayali community in Northern Ireland.
The association began its journey with its inaugural Onam Celebration, bringing together families from across the region to celebrate Kerala’s most cherished festival. Since then, NIMA has continued to grow, becoming a respected community organisation known for its cultural programmes, charitable initiatives, and sporting activities.
Today, NIMA serves as a platform for preserving cultural identity while embracing the diverse and multicultural society of Northern Ireland.
Youth & Family Engagement
NIMA believes in investing in future generations through activities that encourage learning, creativity, leadership, and community involvement. Through cultural programmes, sports activities, and family-focused events, NIMA provides opportunities for children and young adults to remain connected to their heritage while developing confidence and friendships.
